The PML Consortium Website: A Resource for Patients, Caregivers and Health Care Professionals
The Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopahy (PML) Consortium is a joint effort between several companies to identify more effective methods of predicting and preventing, and potentially, in the future, treating, PML. The mission of the Consortium is to perform research to reduce occurrence, morbidity and mortality of PML through a multi-company, not-for-profit, collaborative approach with shared strategy, investment, data acquisition and analysis and communication.
The PML Consortium has created this website to provide an accessible, centralized source of information about PML for patients, caregivers and health care professionals. By navigating through the health care professional and patient sections of the site, visitors to this site may learn more about PML. Information about external resources for further reading, including journal articles, books and websites, is also provided on the Additional Resources pages.
Visitors may also learn more about the Consortium’s activities and progress through this website: the vision and mission of the organization, a summary of its initiatives, information about selected meetings, and FAQs are all addressed in "About the PML Consortium." As the Consortium takes on new initiatives and makes progress in expanding the body of knowledge about PML, updates will be published on this website.
We hope that you find this website to be a useful resource, and encourage you to visit it periodically to learn more about the Consortium’s progress.
